Two Wedding Photographers

Two wedding photographers – how and why two professional photographers can be better than one.

I am a professional photographer in Somerset, and I’m really excited to offer my clients a “Two Wedding Photographer” premium package.

Recently, Lollipop Photography UK teamed up with the fantastic Suze Eyles Photography who is based in Bristol. Suze has established herself as a popular photographer in south west England.

During the past eighteen months I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside Suze all over the UK on a plethora of projects.

Suze has an extremely good eye for fine art photography and we both have a similar style, so we compliment each other exceptionally well.

As a professional wedding photographer, I have photographed ‘on my own’ for a number of years, something I will continue with, but there are huge advantages to being in two places at once!

Two wedding photographers, the advantages

Almost all newly-weds find they miss big parts of their day because they are preoccupied; possibly with nerves, with getting ready, walking up the aisle, in conversations with people they love and with photography shoots.

With two wedding photographers many more parts of the day can be documented, such as;

  • Getting ready shots, both sides of the relationship.
  • The arrival of bridesmaids, groomsmen, best boys and best girls.
  • Family shots – the fathers and the mothers.
  • The joy of friends getting together before the ceremony.
  • An anticipated wait for a bride or a groom.
  • Guests reactions during a ceremony.
The fun had whilst the couple are at their wedding photo shoot.
  • Children playing together.

As the day progresses and celebrations begin, two wedding photographers can work together to make sure every detail is accounted for, so that you never forget how your day unfolded.

Plus you can fill in those all important gaps. Trust me, you can’t see everything!

How we work as a “Two Wedding Photographer” team

A “Two Wedding Photographer” package is ideal for couples who would like moments captured from different angles.

Suze and I start at the pre-wedding preparations. Each of you can have a photographer on hand whilst you get ready, do final preparations or enjoy yourselves with friends and family.

During the ceremony one photographer can capture the happy couple taking their vows, whilst the other photographer can float around, seizing photos from another viewpoint or of a delighted congregation.

Wedding photo shoots benefit greatly from having two wedding photographers. As groups stand by ready, one photographer can be taking their photos in couples, families or friendship groups.

Speeches can be captured from the front and from the back of the room – close-ups of the speechmaker, shots of a joyous head table or moments of laughter from the guests.

At the same time as the first dance, one photographer can photograph the couple up close, whilst the other clicks away nabbing photos of the audience – crying admirers or dancing children.

The perks of having two wedding photographers are boundless.

Julie Rose and Suze Eyles – the perfect two photographer partnership

Recently, I worked with Suze Eyles at a wedding in Bovey Castle – a beautiful and very grand venue.

When Suze sent me her final edits it was just fabulous to see her candidly captured prints, taken when I was directing the happy couple and their guests.

Relaxed Wedding Photos

With me engaging and setting up shots, Suze was able to keep her camera in-hand and she got some truly off-the-cuff images, when the newly-weds had no idea she was there.

Our results were amazing. We were so pleased with the final collection.

Not only could I present my own images to the couple, but I could also show a completely different perspective, something the couple really appreciated.
